The site is to allow users to advertise their jobs or work to qualified trade professionals to quote for. This web site allows customers to find qualified tradesmen without searching the book! By posting your job on YourWorkman you can be sure that only local really interested in your job tradesmen are contacting you. It’s very simple to use and helps you to save you time and money.
Does it cost anything for me to post a job on YourWorkman?
No, it’s completely free service for customers.
How do I post my job?
Easy, just click the button that says "Post a Job". Register your and your job details. Try to put as much information as possible about the job (photos are great if applicable!) to give the tradesmen better idea of the work needing to be done. For your privacy, please, do not include your personal information in your job title or description.
What information should I include in my advertisement?
Include as much details as possible. Provide your exact requirements, sizes and measurements, type of preferred material, photos, request of qualification and experience, etc...
What happens after I posted my job?
As soon as you will post your job, we will send an email to registered local tradesmen with your job details. Your contact details will remain hidden until tradesman has shown genuine interest in your job by submitting a quote. As soon as tradesman will quote for the job details will be exchanged between you. We will send you an email with the interested tradesman name and contact details to inform you who will be contacting you. You can log in to your account to view tradesman profile (details, feedbacks, photos). Once you have chosen the tradesman log in to your account and click the button “Accept”, it will allow you to rate this tradesman when job will be completed.
Am I obliged to hire any of the tradesmen who contacted me via YourWorkman?
No, there is no obligation. It’s totally up to you who you want to hire. We are here to help you to find the best tradesman, and we happy if we do! If not, you can simply remove your listing from the site.
How can I be sure that tradesman is qualified and insured?
You will be able to view all information about the tradesmen and the business they do in their profile, so you can decide which things are important for you and who you want to hire. You can view the photos from the previous jobs they done ant read the feedbacks other customers left for their work. A tradesman who has any valid qualifications, insurances, memberships or other important skills will have proof of this and should be able to make a copy. Be clear and ask for copies of qualifications or references.
What if I select wrong tradesman?
Don’t worry, just email us, we will fix this and let the tradesman know.
I have posted the job but no tradesmen are contacting me. What can I do?
It’s may be that you didn’t put enough details about your job, or your job description are not clear for tradesmen. Sometimes customers looking for specific skills and have very specific requirements. In this case you more likely to get smaller number of quotes for your job. If you haven’t received any quotes so far, you can always update your work and resubmit it again. Just log in to your account, review your job description and make it more clear, by adding more information or change the budget, etc.
How do I rate the tradesperson I have hired via YourWorkman?
Simply log in to your account. If you still didn’t accept the tradesmen through the web site, do it by clicking the button “Accept” on that tradesman quote. After you have accepted the quote, you will be able to find “leave feedback” button. Feedback should only be left after the job is completed.
How can I remove the job listing that I have posted?
If you haven’t found anyone suitable through the site, you can easily remove your listing. Just log in to your account, find your job details and click “Delete” button. Once you will delete the job you won’t be able to update and relist your job later, but you can always post new job from your account.
Work has not been carried out. Can I still leave feedback?
No, you can only rate tradesman when work has been carried out. Your feedback will help potential customers decide if they want to accept this tradesman as it will be genuine evaluation of his work.
I hired a builder through the site and I have been let down, what can I do?
At YourWorkman.co.uk we help you to find and choose the best local tradesman. Tradesmen have an opportunity to build good reputation through our rating system. As good feedbacks will help tradesmen get more jobs in the future, they will do their best to keep you satisfied. However everybody does mistakes. If the things go wrong, you can always tell your experience to other potential customers by rating the tradesperson.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes, it’s absolutely safe. Your personal information will remain safe, and only be shown to the tradesman who quotes for your job. You can choose the number of quotes you want to get from local tradesman while posting your job.
